World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will gain an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item level upgrade's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for instance 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item upgrade's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear even when they're not sure what will be improved following a reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it's possible that the item will eventually become obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade item fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

In the endgame, you will often find that the best way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For example, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrading (Recommended Online site) system lets players increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item. Once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player improves an item it is replaced by a new item. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This can be a downside in that the item could become more expensive even if you don't require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with an initial level and a totally different set of bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be repeated often, as it can waste many resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled many times which increases their value and allows the player to modify their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is very important in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set and weapon upgrades items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each when you upgrade an item, it has an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the more you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item returning to its original state which means that the player has to spend additional resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as the chance to crit attack damage, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or reloading speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will still need to take every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade requires a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
