WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade items increases the level of an item by +3. A random substat is also increased with every upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrade level upgrade (click through the next page) upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.

The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
