WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and is accessible anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item level upgrade but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor using an button, which will show an item's preview at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the item slot, and the current item level upgrade level. For example weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level, it can be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.

Upgraders for items are available at many locations including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded. It can also be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Crests

Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item upgrade that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be used on gear of a specific rank, and each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade item costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, contingent on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through content at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.

The use of these currencies isn't too complicated, but the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all of their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. For instance it's best to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the best equipment available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan on making. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
