World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already have. This can be done at any upgrader NPC.

Generally upgrades increase an items main stat and give it extras depending on the item upgrader mod type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs and Goldwrap for build casters.

Armour

Armour is one of the most important factors that keep Link safe from harm in the majority of situations. While it cannot be upgraded like weapons, it can still be improved in a variety of ways to improve its defence capabilities.

Armour is designed to shield animals and people from harm or injury, whether it's from a direct physical attack or a variety of activity or environmental hazards. In the past, armour was primarily made from fabric or leather, but later metal protections were also used for military purposes, particularly like heavy cavalry or combat drones.

There are many ways to upgrade your armour, however, the majority require you to visit one of the four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain offers a different degree of improvement with higher levels of protection requiring more rupees and other materials.

The first thing you need to know about Armor Upgrades is they are permanent upgrades which means that once they've been installed, they cannot be replaced unless you have another piece of equipment with the same upgrade. You should only apply most powerful upgrades to your equipment and make sure that you have all the components required to complete the process.

You will find the upgrades you need in many places throughout Hyrule. These include merchants, shrines and even enemies. These will generally be marked with an gold circle or blue triangle, and will be available in large quantities as you move through the game. While they might appear randomly, there is a chance that obtaining certain upgrade components will lead to quests that reward players with more.

It's also worth noting that although the level of protection offered by each upgrade is different but it's the same across all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. A full set of upgraded armor will give you a strong defense boost that will protect against all kinds of attacks and will also protect against magic. This makes it an effective weapon for any class.

Weapons

If you'd like to make your guns unique, you can upgrade them by utilizing a variety of unique upgrades. These can increase damage, alter the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your particular build and even unlock new attachments such as unique ammo types, enchantments and more aesthetic options.

You'll need both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon has to be at or near an appropriate level to upgrade it. Most weapons can only take one upgrade.

The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that certain products may be superior to others depending on your playstyle. Armour is no different, with some refining better than others.

Magic Items

A character is able to upgrade only one item of magic at one time. If an upgrade plan has been cancelled, no more upgrades will be planned for that item. Magic items that are upgraded will cost twice the amount of gold it would cost to create or purchase however, they also offer additional advantages.

A magical item could be any item with special properties or effects. Most of these items are weapons, but some are also shields, armor, cloaks, potions, scrolls, rings, and other items. Some of these items may be converted into a sentient.

The majority of magic items can be upgraded so that they are infused with additional abilities. This makes them more useful for players, or can aid them in overcoming a particularly challenging encounter. A weapon that is infused can provide an additional amount of damage to a specific enemy type, for example. This is especially useful for those who have reached the point where they're likely to face one type of monster repeatedly in the dungeons.

A ring infused with magic might grant immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon, pierce, or slash (excluding silver-based attacks) until the character takes another long rest. This is particularly beneficial for combatants who are melee or anyone who wants to avoid buying an armor.

Utility Items

Most utility items provide a passive effect that the player can activate when using them, however, some come with additional capabilities that are activated when the user presses a button or activates the ability.

The Flashlight is the most common utility item upgrader. It illuminates the area around it. Other options include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while they move, and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section you can create instantly a variety of utilitarian items, whereas others are only available through Research projects or Experimental projects on the Proving Ground.

In addition to the items that are available in the normal inventory, players can also unlock the most powerful utility items by buying them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Some of these items can be upgraded to allow more efficient use.

The majority of utility items boost the combat ability of a particular character or give the player a sort of advantage in navigation. For instance, sharpening stones created by the Weaponsmith increase Ferocity and Power and Maintenance Oils made by the Huntsman increase the power of concentration and healing. Other useful items, such as Writs and Theses created by the Scribe, can be used to give the player an increase in Damage or Condition Damage.

All XCOM soldiers can equip a useful item at the beginning of the campaign. In the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be added by equipping an grenade Launcher. This allows the player to use a Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the main slot.
